How refunds and cancellations are handled

Refund eligibility depends on the cancellation and refund policy published for each event by the organizer. Where an event-specific policy is not shown, registrations are treated as non-refundable unless the organizer approves an exception.

Event-specific policy first

Each organizer may publish an event-specific cancellation and refund policy. When a specific policy appears on an event page, checkout, ticket listing, or registration confirmation, that policy governs the order.

Non-refundable cases

Convenience fees, payment gateway charges, taxes, and organizer-defined non-refundable components may not be refunded unless explicitly stated. Missed events, personal scheduling conflicts, and incomplete participation are typically non-refundable.

Organizer-led changes

If an organizer cancels an event or materially changes the event format, the organizer may choose to issue a full refund, partial refund, transfer, coupon, deferment, or other remedy according to the event policy and applicable law.

Refund timelines

Approved refunds are generally processed back to the original payment method within a reasonable banking timeline after the organizer or platform approves the request. Actual settlement time depends on payment partners and banking networks.
